After a week off, the UFC returns on December 2nd from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Let's look at three fighters who are returning after notable injuries and periods away from the Octagon.
Something else of note- Drakkar Klose is now 37(?) years old. Maybe 36. I think he at an age where it’s tougher to return to fight at a high level that he’s accustomed to after ACL surgery. I know that’s the case in other sports such as football. MMA is a different sport, but still something to consider.
I’m very interested in this fight and how Klose fairs!
One fighter that I totally overlooked- Deiveson Figueiredo, who returns following eye surgery. He suffered the injury in his last fight vs Brandon Moreno, and had to pull out of a scheduled July fight against Manel Kape as he wasn't cleared medically. I'm not exactly sure if the injury was the eye itself, or the orbital bone structure surrounding the eye.
It'll be fun to see Figueiredo fight someone besides Mareno.
